This blog post from a few weeks ago hit a nerve in the nonprofit space – I’ve received lots of follow up questions and comments about whether (or not) you should tell your supporters that you’re moving to a new system.

One of the follow up chats was with a friend and colleague, Taylor Shanklin.  She’s the VP of Marketing at Pursuant, a full service fundraising agency.  Taylor has a passion for nonprofit marketing (her mantra: always focus on the supporter experience). Sshe invited me to be a guest on the Pursuant Podcast to expand on the blog post. As always, our conversation was fun and full of practical wisdom for nonprofit accidental techies.

If you’re thinking about moving to a new eCRM or fundraising system – give it a listen over your lunch break or on your commute.  You’ll learn a few pro tips to help you plan for a move and get the right supporter communication in place.

Managing a move to new software can be tricky! If you’d like to reduce your risk and get help from a pro – contact me.
